ABOUT JOY

Joy Adaeze, a Nigerian-American style blogger, stylist, and fashion host, got her start in the fashion industry as an intern at WWD. There, she assisted influential editors and learned the ins and outs of styling. Soon after, Joy began assisting fashion expert Constance White (currently ESSENCE Editor-in-Chief). The two worked closely on several projects, namely fashion segments for NBC LX-TV and The Today Show, which Joy helped style. Joy went with Constance to ESSENCE when she became the EIC, where she worked as her stylist. As a freelance stylist, Joy has worked for publications and brands in Europe and the US, including CoverGirl, WWDFashizblack, and ESSENCE.. Aside from her styling career, one of Joy’s life passions is her work as a professional image consultant where she guides men and women on how to look great every day. Joy is also a talented fashion writer, with her most recent work featured in The Cut The Huffington Post, HelloBeautifulESSENCE, and Heritage 1960.com.
