Jean Paul Gaultier’s Exhibit at de Young Museum San Francisco

While in San Francisco, I had the wonderful pleasure to visit the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibit at the de Young Museum. It was simply breathtaking! When you walked inside you were greeted by JPG’s mannequin which told the story of what you were about to experience. Many of the many mannequins spoke, sang and blinked. It was so realistic. (This was achieved by a digital projector that shined onto the mannequin’s faces from above.) Fascinating. There were so many amazing pieces to see that spanned over 35 years of the designer’s iconic career.

If you look closely, you can see Jean Paul Gaultier’s face on the right ear!

Such fabulous work!
