It was so much fun shooting this feature in Brooklyn with my friend and photographer Phillis Kwentoh. She is the best : ). I will be putting up lots of images here each day from each of my 5 looks on AfriPop! Stay tuned! Special thanks to Paula Rogo of AfriPop! Mag : )

I call this story: “Life is a Tight Rope”

I was inspired by the amazing documentary: Man on Wire, a magnificent story of Frenchman Philipe Petit and how he illegally tight roped between in World Trade Center towers in 1974. It is a beautiful story of determination, vision & the immense power of a dream.

You can watch it on Netflix. When I first saw it, I watched it 3 times, it was so inspiring.

That movie was amazing — it’s interesting that it’s so suspenseful even though you know how it turns out!
