A part 2 to my What To Wear When It’s Ridiculously Hot post…and it’s a goodie! There’s nothing better then a slit up to there when it’s hot out. Ventilation, baby! Paired with a loose cotton-blend crop top and open toe sandals, you’ve got yourself a winning look on even the hottest day of Summer. What I love about this outfit is that it doesn’t lose an ounce of sex appeal (by way of the ‘up to there’ slit). It’s a fave : )

Want to stay cool this Summer? Here’s my advice!

FIT

When it’s scorching outside you want to go with clothes that are not fitted, rather they skim the body. This Zara maxi skirt is slightly fitted, leaving room for some lovely breeeeeze.

Stay away from: tight jeans, bodycons and pum pum shorts when it’s super hot. Opt for maxi dresses, flowy skirts and breezy tops. Loose cotton or linen shorts work amazing, too! Which brings us to…

FABRIC

Some fabrics, like synthetics and polyester, trap heat causing you to feel hotter because they allow sweat to build up. Natural fibers like cotton, linen and rayon (a semi-synthetic that mimics natural fabric) soak up moisture from skin and allow it to evaporate to the outside surface, thus allowing your skin to breathe and feel cool!

For Summer stick to: Cotton, Linen and Rayon and avoid synthetic fibers like Polyester. I also LOVE eyelets, slits and cutouts because they allow air to directly hit your skin!

Hope these tips help you, my loves!

Here’s what I wore: Zara crop top (similar) / Zara skirt / Steve Madden heels /  Betsey Johnson cat bracelet / Capwell + Co leopard ring

Some other slit-happy maxi skirts I’m LOVING:

What are your fave pieces to wear when it’s just too.damn.hot?
