Last week, I attended the 43rd Annual BRAG (Black Action Retail Group) Scholarship and Awards Dinner Gala and I had a fabulous time. This organization is such a wonderful cause, preparing and educating professionals, entrepreneurs and students of color for executive leadership in the retail, fashion and related industries. Every year, BRAG throws a gala to raise money for its summer internship program.
This year, BRAG honored Iman with the Legacy Award. Other honorees: Terry Lundgren, CEO of Macy’s Inc and Alain Lafontant, Vice President of Brand Development for Sean John. Here are some pics from the event and the attendees!
Snapped a quick iPhone pic with my mentor Constance White, whom I styled for the night. She’s wearing a Monqiue Lhuillier strapless mermaid gown and Miriam Haskell earrings. I’m wearing a Bebe gown that I chose from my closet last minute while getting dressed, a Khirma Eliazov clutch and a Holst + Lee statement necklace (c/o the Collective PR).
First course at dinner!
Ran into the hilarious Nick Cannon, the special guest at the gala.
The gorgeous honoree, Iman, making her acceptance speech while wearing a superb Herve Leger cocktail dress.
Style expert and overall amazing human being, Lloyd Boston, carried the evening as host.

Wonderful event!

I literally gasped when I saw you in that dress! Drop. Dead. Gorgeous.
I love peplum. This dress looks amazing on you, very sexy and sophisticated. I love the neckline as well.
Love the neckclace! It compliments the dress nicely.
