I’m a jumpsuit girllll. Nothing better than this 1 piece when you’re getting ready in a hurry. Plus, this dark floral one by Stories by Kelly Osbourne is super comfy! Gotta love it. To match the disasterously cold weather, I layered it with a turtleneck and threw on my fave camel coat, platform boots and my signature silk turban + mirror shades. Perfect look for braving the weather while keeping it cute!
Believe it or not, I’ve never worn any other color than basic black leggings. I’ve ventured into black faux leather but never out of the black zone. So, of course I was shocked when these Elie Tahari for Kohl’s leggings actually looked awesome on. Like, I’m really lovin’ them : ).
When rocking a beige, cream of white legging, it’s best to stick to that one color for the top as well. It gives the look a nice, clean feel. Very chic and unexpected! I love white on white for Fall and Winter.
Sidenote: I was really surprised that I loved this Elie Tahari for Kohl’s look the exact same way it was presented in the ad. I usually change things up a bit, but this look as is really worked for me.
Fall fashion is always a bit tricky. The weather’s warm one day and freezing the next. To make getting dressed a lil easier, I’ve started incorporating pieces that are transitional and easy to layer. My favorites are chic long sleeve shirts and leather pants/leggings. Both are light enough for a warmer day but can be layered up when the temp drops.
The blouse I’m rocking is Bien Abye by talented Haitian designer Dayanne Danier. I love supporting talented Black designers who are often overlooked in the mainstream, media. Dayanne and I met when I was invited to speak on a panel for the Black Dress exhibit in April. She emailed me that night and we’ve kept in touch ever since! I love the quality of her clothes and they are so beautiful! This blouse is art. I am obsessed with the sheer sleeves and white color blocking detail. Bravo, Dayanne!
You can see me rockin’ another great piece by Bien Abye here.
