Extras: NYFW Day 1

This past NYFW was an epic one! There are so many pics that I didn’t post, so I decided to do a fun recap! Here are Day 1’s candids of fab folks, old pals and FNO fun! I am wearing a Biddies & Blokes vintage leather pleated dress, Urban Outfitters brogues, a paper beaded necklace from Uganda, Vintage bag, Ankara turban, Mercura shades and Biddies and Blokes bangles!

On Day 1, I met the awesome Kyle Anderson (above), Accessories Director of Marie Clare, who I shared a fun twitter discussion with days earlier. I adore his work and his blog: KyleEditor.com! Kyle has amazing style, so epic. (It would be a dream to raid his wardrobe!) He and I chatted a bit and it was caught on tape for his NYFW tv special “Accessory To Style” on LookTV! How fab!

One of my fav people, my BFF stylist, Wayman! It’s not fashion week if he’s not around. How much are you loving his denim-on-denim and Y-3 sneaks?

I loved this look for Day 1! It was luxuriously comfortable, the flats were genius for all the running around I did later that night at FNO! White leather was a first for me and now I’m obsessed: )! After this photo was taken, I headed back to my apt in Harlem for lunch. While there, I switched to my Keith Haring Noir necklace! I love a good fashion switcharoo! Keeps it exciting.

Inside the tents, I ran into my blogger boo: Monroe Steele (best.name.ever.) of FashionSteele.com! So good seeing her! Love the play on green. We’re pleated pals lol. Check out her blog, it’s addictive : )
